For proper healing to occur, all human aspects must be acknowledged and addressed. Those aspects are the Spirit, Soul (mind, will, emotions), and Body.
Several individuals present with vague symptoms in my practice, some of which have identifiable physical causes. While physical body ailments are identifiable to the human mind and eye, psychological and spiritual components are not always apparent. If I were to ignore the existence of these invisible elements, my contribution to the healing process would be incomplete. I will briefly touch on the Human Spirit in today’s video.
I start with the Human Spirit because it is the essence of who you are, and most individuals have no idea how to care for their spirit.
What do I mean by that?
If I tell you that you will not be able to sustain your physical Body without adequate nutrition, it would be easy for you to agree with me. Why? Because from the day you were born, your physical body was cared for with food, clothing, and shelter. So now, as a fully grown human, if you experience hunger or thirst, your mind can identify with what this means, making you seek out nutrition to sustain your physical body.
How about the Spirit? Many of us have no idea that there is a spiritual part to us. If you have had any religious upbringing, you may have heard the term spirit mentioned, needing clarification on what that even means.
I am here to confirm that you have a spirit. With your Spirit, you communicate with God, and God speaks with you. If you have never encountered God or had a relationship with Him, then what I say may not make sense. If I have sparked an interest in you and you would like to learn more about the human Spirit, please reach out to me; I will be happy to discuss this with you more.
For those who have encountered God and have a relationship with Him, I will touch on why it is essential to keep your Spirit healthy and how to do so.
To accomplish this, we need to explore the “Fruits of the Spirit,”
- Love
- Joy
- Peace
- Patience
- Kindness
- Generosity
- Faithfulness
The term ‘fruit’ is used because, just as in nature, for a fruit tree to bear fruit, it needs nurturing and nourishment, fertile soil, manure, water, and sunshine, and based on its natural qualities, it will bring forth fruit. That is why an apple tree bears apples and not grapes, and an orange tree bear oranges and not pomegranate. Each tree bears fruit characteristics based on its genetic coding.
These listed “Fruits of the Spirit” are the natural qualities of a spirit in a deep relationship with God. It could also be considered a diagnostic test that tells us if our Spirit is in good health because the only way to bear these specific fruits is to get those natural qualities from a spiritual binding with God’s Spirit. It is impossible to exhibit these fruits when our minds and bodies are exhausted by life’s challenges. Only the human Spirit consistently spends time in God’s word, and presence can show these qualities. It is also impossible to display the fruits of the spirit by focusing on physical and mental wellness alone.
Displaying the fruits of the spirit is only possible by intentionally allowing our spirits to have a deep relationship with God. This relationship can only be developed by spending time in God’s presence and reading God’s word. If any of the terms and descriptions need to be clarified, please feel free to contact me.
