"Over the years, I did not pay much attention to my health. I used to eat whatever I wanted and never used to exercise. I gained a lot of weight and struggled with chronic fatigue and hypertension. I was introduced to Dr. Deepa's lifestyle coaching over a year ago. However, I only started applying her advice to my life around two months ago.

I Recommend This Course
"The Time to Transform course is a holistic approach to health and wellness. The course covers diverse aspects ranging from Spirituality, Mental Health, Diet, Exercise, Sleep, Social Connections and Psychology. Whilst covering a broad range of topics the course is backed up by scientific data, medical expertise, and gives accessible insights and practical advice that can be easily applied.
I was already interested in the subject and consider myself to be reasonably well-informed having read a few health and fitness books and following various podcasts. I was surprised at how much great content was packed into the course giving fresh insights and deeper knowledge across multiple aspects of health and wellness. I felt that all the most important areas of Health and Wellness were covered including some that I had not considered. This is quite rare as most experts tend to focus on 1 or 2 areas. It is hard to give a good overview of such a diverse range of topics in a concise way that is meaningful and easy for the average person to follow but somehow Dr. Deepa manages it.
If this material was available as a book I would definitely buy it. I recommend the course for anyone who wants to better understand health and wellness. Either to improve your health, overcome challenges, or for those who are already blessed with good health and want to maintain and further enhance this."

"The Time to Transform course presented by Dr. Deepa, an expert in her field, was very insightful. Dr. Deepa unpacked and quickly unlocked a wide range of information, leaving you feeling well-informed and ready to transform. With the information provided, we understood the impact of our everyday decisions on our health and that we have a say in our well-being. We are not simply doomed by genetics, but we can make a difference in our health by focusing on the different pillars discussed and making small changes at first.

I am grateful for having the opportunity to be a part of this session wherein it not only pointed out the problems and its causes but also a platform to discuss realistic and applicable solutions fostering parental engagement which allowed parents to express their concerns and experiences. A Playbook for Every Parent
“The MIS COP event held on January 12th had a very special topic that has deep influence and impact on the students and parents alike. I was the beneficiary to an excellent and empirically evidenced lecture around the impact of social media on young minds delivered by Dr Deepa Grandon a triple certified physician with over 20 years of medical practice in fields of Internal Medicine, Allergy Immunology and Lifestyle Medicine.
This attempt in sharing is a result of my cognitive and recollection abilities that have dwindled over time and one of the culprits may be social media... (going by the Brain Box theory.) Parenting unlike many jobs does not have a standard operating guidelines that build you up for success… (If the measure is the achievement of your children). Hence the efforts put in my most parents is rather a result of conditioning from your pervious generations and the caveman instincts emanating from the cortex of our brains.
To add to the conundrum, the Gen X and Millennial parents are now victims of technology which they themselves are familiarizing with hence creating a rule book for the younger kids is not an easy task. Through their own actions of exploring this newer technologies and media parents result in being fodder to young minds who ‘Mirror’ and ape their actions validating it to being the right one.
Dr Deepa shared some eye-opening statistics around the growing incidence of a decline in the mental wellbeing among for younger adults who are victims to incidents online around cyber bullying, body shaming, isolation leading to anxiety disorders, depression and low self-esteem. Red Riding Hood had her grandma tales and wisdom to know well who the BIG BAD WOLF was. In today’s world Dr Deepa’s guide would help us incubate this wisdom both in parents and our children’s minds. Parents cannot live in a denial phase of technology that is here, rather embrace, adopt and adapt in a manner that is least disruptive to the mental wellbeing and growth of their children.
Tips shared included
- Being transparent with our children
- Setting boundaries (no device zones)
- Encouraging friendships and proliferating real relationships over virtual ones that are masked behind codes and algorithms.
- Promote a health and balanced lifestyle that has space for outdoor activities.
- Finally, set an example for the sapling we water through our actions and words.
I once again thank Merryland International for being a trailblazer in this area and disrupt the community in adopting a Mindset that looks not only at the glamour of social media that is skin deep but the lurking danger behind if not arrested would leave its venom in young minds that are destined to do beautiful and creative things.”
