Iām a triple board-certified physician, a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI), and American Board of Lifestyle Medicine (ABLM). I have receivedĀ Top Allergist recognition for the state of Florida andĀ am on the 2024 Top Doctor List.
With over 23 years of experience working as a Physician Consultant for influential organizations worldwide, I have decided to launch my own Health and Wellness global virtual company, Transformational Life Consulting (TLC).
My goal is to use the knowledge and experience I have developed over the years from my own experience as a physician and my spiritual and health journey to help others lead their best lives.Ā
I started TLC to pursue my true passion, to address healing from a holistic perspective.
While in medical school, I recognized a deep void that could only be filled with a relationship with God. My spiritual journey, medical training, and years of medical practice made me realize that true healing requires addressing all aspects of human life.
I believe humans are more than just a physical body. We also have a spirit and a soul (our mind, will, and emotions). Dysfunction in any of these areas can spill over to the other areas, resulting in incomplete healing. For many years the medical community seriously underminedĀ lifestyle-related global public health problems. Lifestyle diseases include cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, stroke, obesity, and respiratory ailments, to name a few.
The greatest tragedy being these lifestyle diseases are preventable.
Some major drivers for these lifestyle-related conditions are genetics, poor lifestyle choices, and lack of intentional care for spiritual and mental wellbeing. While healthcare workers are not trained to provide spiritual support, many with personal convictions do. Spirituality is an essential skill for healthcare providers to offer relief from physical and mental stress, which no medical treatment can provide. In my personal experience, I have also seen the transformative power of anti-inflammatory foods such as whole food and plant-based diet as well as regular exercise not only on physical but also on mental well-being.Ā
